Dear members,
We know you are all excited for this years’ pubquiz and some members have teamed up already! This year we will be having four rounds of pubquiz! This years’ charity is “Stichting Meedoen in Rotterdam”. This charity helps families in Rotterdam with providing stuff that cannot be provided by parents due to financial reasons. Think about swimming lessons, bikes, presents for birthdays and laptop & tablets which will be used at schools. In our opinion everyone deserves an equal start in life. What can you expect? Four rounds of questions of which we are sure you should be able to answer. Of course, some maritime questions can’t be missing. A team should exist of approximately 6 persons. You can make a team in advance or team up at the night itself. Every round, we will ask the team to “buy” the (answer)card to write down answers. As a team, you can decide what you wish to contribute each round but remember, it’s for charity! Each round, you will have the opportunity to buy available jokers in an auction to make up for a wrong answer. And yes, we do have some ground rules such as not touching mobile phones!
Please keep in mind all money will go to our charity “Meedoen in Rotterdam”. Therefore, we kindly ask you to bring (substantial amounts) of cash. If you are of the opinion cash only belongs in construction companies or casinos, there will be a cash machine available (although cash would have preference).
What is there to win? The gifts you and the other members bring! We invite and encourage you to bring your companies best gifts or contribute an original gift like we have seen so many good gifts in the past (footballs, champagne, books, puzzles, tickets for football matches, tour on board a vessel etc).
You are welcome from 18:30hrs, the pubquiz starts at 19:00hrs. As eating is cheating, we will have only finger food served the whole evening! The pubquiz will be held at:
