10 February ’22 – Cosy Pub Quiz


Dear members,

We are all excited and thrilled to announce that we will have a pubquiz to kickoff next year!
We will be having seven rounds of pubquiz! The quiz will be hosted by the “Quiz Masters”.
This years’ charity is “Het Babyhuis”. This charity fund gives mothers, who are due to various reasons not able to grow up their babies themselves, a chance to prevent eviction of their babies. “Het Babyhuis” helps mothers. Every mother deserves a chance to grow up their baby themselves!  (Babyhuis – het Babyhuis voorkomt onnodige uithuisplaatsing (het-babyhuis.nl))

What can you expect? Seven rounds of questions of which we are sure you should be able to answer. Of course, some maritime questions can’t be missing. Each team should exist of approximately 5  persons. You can make a team in advance or team up at the night itself. Every round, we will ask the team to “buy” the card to write down answers. As a team, you can decide what you wish to contribute each round but remember, it’s for charity! After each round, you will have the opportunity to buy one of the two available jokers in an auction in order to make it up for a wrong answer. And yes, we do have some ground rules such as not touching mobiles!

Please keep in mind all money will go to our charity “Het Kinderhuis”. Therefore, we kindly ask you to bring (substantial amounts of) cash. If you are of the opinion cash only belongs in construction companies or casinos, there will be a cash machine available (although cash would have the preference).

What is there to win? The gifts you and the other members will bring! We invite and encourage you to bring your companies best gifts or contribute an original gift like we have seen in the past (footballs, champagne, books, puzzles, tickets for football matches, tour on board a ship etc).

When: 10th of February 2022
What time: Door opens 1900 hours, start of the quiz 2000 hours.
Where: Vessel 11, Wijnhaven 101, Rotterdam, 3011WN

As eating is cheating, we will have only finger food served the whole evening! The location can be reached by car & bike (parking available at parking Wijnstraat) and public transport metro Beurs (a 3 minute walk).
